Updates On Paths

The latest news on the state of the paths that I have walked on recently where there are issues.

This time of year is when the crops and plants can start to overgrow some paths.  Nearly all paths are dry and firm making them good for walking.

Good news.  The far path through Combs Wood has for many years been muddy for much of the year and in winter almost impassable, partly because the main channel carrying water down the hill near the path has been blocked by mud and debris.  At last this has been dug out again and hopefully this will mean that the path will be much more pleasant to walk all year round

I recently did walk 16 and some parts near Roe Wood are very overgrown.  I wouldn’t recommend doing it until later in the autumn when hopefully things will have improved.

Walk 33 near Greaves Lane has a path closure which requires a diversion which I describe in that post.

Walk 61 from Bilsthorpe – the paths near the start of this walk close to the building site are currently very overgrown and I wouldn’t recommend this part of the walk.
